Assistant Plant Manager

The incumbent directs and coordinates the operating plants to achieve operational performance consistent with plant and organizational goals, and also backs up the Plant Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage manpower and equipment to meet site EHS, Quality, Productivity, and Engagement targets. Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety policies, as well as all applicable governmental regulations. Actively support Safety at Evonik and TPM initiatives at the site Audit production activities to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Site and Corporate Policies. Delegate specific production responsibilities to department supervisory personnel. Track departmental KPIs and develop action plans to meet goals Develop an operating budget and forecast to meet the yearly sales forecast; ensure that the Production department operates within the approved operating forecast. Act as backup to the Plant Manager and a member of the site leadership team REQUIREMENTS BS in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field 10
years of experience in a manufacturing industry Minimum of 3 years of experience in a direct leadership role Proficiency in computer use and business software applications (e.g. LIMS, SAP, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) Strong organizational and prioritization skills Highly developed conflict management skills Ability to relate to and work with various personalities across multiple departments Working knowledge of safety, environmental, and personnel rules and regulations Prefer education, training, and/or experience with statistical methods (e.g. SPC, gage studies, etc) Prefer knowledge of cGMP's, GLP's, laboratory safety, and environmental compliance.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Plant & Facilities ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
